Bumpdate: Weeks 29-30

If you missed my previous bumpdates, you can check out weeks 5-12 hereweeks 13-14 hereweeks 15-16 hereweeks 17-18 hereweeks 19-20 hereweeks 21-22 hereweeks 23-24 hereweeks 25-26 here, and weeks 27-28 here! I've decided that at the very end of this, I'm going to make a book out of all of my weeks so Baby Cookie can look back and read through them someday. I also hope to make one giant blog post compiling all of my weeks together to see the progress.
How far along? 30 weeks

Size of baby?
29 weeks: butternut squash
30 weeks: cabbage

Total weight gain? I've gained three pounds! This is progress! Seeing as that's what Baby Cookie weighs now... I'm just glad I've gained as much as she weighs. It was strange for a while there. Bad food on our road trip may have contributed to this...

Gender? GIRL! You can read about it here

Maternity clothes? Oh yes. All the time. I did paint (furniture for the nursery!) in some XL Air Force shirts, though, and those fit fine (funny but covered everything).

Sleep? I have to go to the bathroom way too much these days for consistent sleep. And when I wake up, my fingers are numb, my feet ache, and my hips are in stabbing pain... so it takes a while to fall back asleep due to that.

Work outs? Walking here and there... but mostly just daily life is my workout these days.

Cravings? Fruit again. I can't get enough fruit. I'm especially loving peaches and pears right now.

Aversions? Nothing specific, but heartburn is worse than it has been all along, but I'm trying to avoid my trigger foods.

Best moment of this week? We enjoyed seeing so many friends and family members at our baby shower!!! We got so many amazing items... this little girl is spoiled already! I will write a post about her shower soon.

Worst moment of this week? Breathing has become difficult. I swear Baby Cookie moved completely because I feel her kicks in a different place now... and while I'm glad she moved (because I'm fairly confident she went from laying sideways inside me to head down), her feet are now jabbing into my lungs, making my breathing labored. I know it's not my asthma because my rescue meds don't help anymore. It should be a fun 9.5 or so more weeks!

Looking forward to? Our next ultrasound! I love seeing Baby Cookie any chance I get... we'll go back in two weeks to see her again.

  5. I put a pillow between my knees and got the Boppy pregnancy wedge, the combo (or some other preggo pillow, there's a TON out there) helped me get more comfortable and distribute my weight more evenly and thus sleep a little better. But seriously... all. that. peeing!
